Position Title: Dental Hygienist

Location of Employment: 555 2nd Ave, Collegeville PA 19426 (Montgomery County)

Position Duties Summary:

Perform comprehensive dental hygiene treatments (prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, polishing, fluoride, sealants) and conduct oral cancer screenings with periodontal charting.
Capture and assess diagnostic digital radiographs/intraoral images, review and update patient medical/dental histories, and ensure accurate documentation in the practice management system.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and systemicoral health links, identify clinical findings and collaborate with the dentist on treatment planning and case acceptance.
Uphold OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols; prepare and sterilize operatories/instruments; manage hygiene supply inventory.
Support practice goals by promoting recare scheduling and case acceptance, participate in professional development and staff meetings, and assist in implementing new clinical programs.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards, digital imaging systems, and dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or equivalent).
Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols for clinical instruments and operatories.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, and move (bend, reach) for extended periods while performing clinical tasks. Manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination to manipulate precision dental instruments in restricted spaces.
Valid Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygiene license (or be eligible to obtain one).
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification at the ‘Healthcare Provider’-level, including instruction and practical skills use of an AED, at the time of hire.

Salary: $95,000/year. The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
